Whitchurch foodbank have reported a doubling of referrals to their Christmas food project. In 2018 they helped 28 families, but this year saw an increase to 61 families.
Alan Scutt, Whitchurch Foodbank chairman, estimates that these families received around 1.1 tonnes of food, worth nearly £2500.
