Our impact over 3 years

Since forming in 2018 the Shropshire Food Poverty Alliance has grown enormously. Our role has developed and expanded in response to local need. Our first year was spent building a strong foundation to be in an informed position to take local action and achieve impact. Threes year in, we are now a recognised authority on the complex issue of food insecurity in Shropshire. We work to support local food organisations and collaborate with other key organisations in the county to ensure that food is on the regional agenda. The images below help to take you through our development as an alliance and what we have been able to achieve in our first 3 years.

We are grateful for the support of the Food Power programme which provides financial support to tackle food poverty in local communities. Food Power is delivered by the Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming and Church Action on Poverty and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. We are also grateful for support from Shropshire Council.
